Over the past 24 hours or so, the rumours of a possible return to FC Barcelona for Neymar Jr have taken the media by storm.
The 31-year-old is persona non grata at PSG, who would be open to letting the superstar leave while the player himself is understood to be open to a change of scenery.
Amidst this, it had been reported that Neymar has been repeatedly offered to Barcelona this summer, but the club were not looking to make a move.
However, the stance has seemingly changed over the past day or so, with president Joan Laporta keen on bringing the Brazilian back to Barça.
Neymar wants Barcelona return
Now, building on that, Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Neymar ‘would love’ to return to Barcelona this summer.
The 31-year-old has never quite settled in as well at PSG as he had with the Catalans and has constantly been linked with a move back year after year, and he would jump at the opportunity if it presented itself.

It has even been suggested that the former Santos FC wonderkid would be willing to accept a salary cut in order to secure a move back to his former stomping ground.
Barcelona have not made a decision yet
But, the final call rests with Barcelona and whether they can afford to fit him into the club’s current economic reality remains a big question.
Despite some reports suggesting that Neymar’s return appears closer at the moment, that does not appear to be entirely accurate.
At this point, the La Liga champions are well-informed about the Brazilian international’s salary and the terms of the deal that would take for them to bring him back.
However, they are yet to make a decision on whether they will move to re-sign Neymar or not.
Xavi, for his part, is understood to be not in favour of the deal, as he and his staff believe that the Brazilian’s return might disrupt the atmosphere of the dressing room.
So, only time will tell, if Barcelona decide to bring Neymar back this summer after having failed to re-sign Lionel Messi.
